About BTD

Back To Democracy is a group of progressive grassroots volunteers based in Trumansburg, New York. We promote participation in the democratic process, and providing citizens with information needed to understand what's going on in our society. Subjects include peace, social justice, sustainability, and liberation from corporate control.

We hold programs monthly at the Trumansburg Fire Hall, hosting a speaker or showing a documentary film. Meetings start at 7:00 pm. An open discussion follows the event. Meetings are free and open to all.

Topics include promoting peace, claiming citizen control of government, media reform, demilitarization of our society, campaign finance reform, reforming the election process, a healthy environment as a human right , developing a sustainable way of life -- you get the idea.
